Preview build — page text is a draft awaiting human review. Code badges come from real compiles. The flasher is real but not yet hardware-tested; the Playground is still a preview.

Code generator

Board + one sensor + outputs in. A complete sketch out, assembled from templates we compile in CI — plus the exact wiring and a parts list. No AI guesswork.

Serial output is always included. Pins are picked from each board’s safe pins and pass every pin-checker rule.

How it works

The generator doesn't write code freely. Every line comes from a fixed template fragment: one per sensor, display and output, for each board. Picking options only decides which fragments are included and which safe pins they use.

How we know it compiles

  • We compile 48 combinations in CI on every change — 16 per board. For each board, that's every sensor with every display and all three outputs, plus each output on its own. These cover every fragment, alone and together. The ones that compiled show a green badge and open in the Playground.
  • Every one of the 288 possible combinations is checked by the pin checker with zero errors or warnings, and the wiring is checked for 3.3 V safety (echo divider, LCD level shifter).
  • MicroPython output for the Pico W is compiled with mpy-cross, which checks syntax — not that the board has every module. The SSD1306 driver, for example, is installed separately.

What to change after you flash

  • The threshold at the top of the sketch (30 °C, 20 cm, 30 % moisture).
  • The soil sensor's dry/wet calibration.
  • The LCD address if your backpack uses 0x3F (run the I2C scanner).
